AFFILIATE PROGRAM BENEFITS
CENTIENTS affiliates program is an opportunity for industry partners to help plan and guide research in directions that maximize benefits for their enterprises and to influence the direction of research, education, and the growing innovation ecosystem for the built environment. By identifying challenges and needs for innovation that are not being addressed elsewhere, industry partners can help define CENTIENTS research project portfolio so that the research is useful to affiliate’s short-term and long-term needs. CENTIENTS is an opportunity to share in the generation of new knowledge that will be put into practice to better serve our industries and our society.

INDUSTRY ADVISORY BOARD:
Our industry partners are directly involved in the direction of CENTIENTS’ research, and at our annual Industry Advisory Board (IAB) meetings. Our advisors provide review and comment on active projects and identify new research topics. We invite industry advisory board members to participate in CENTIENTS’ annual meeting.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:
The Executive Committee works closely with CENTIENTS Co-Directors, and provides input on the strategic direction of the center including research and educational efforts.
VISITING SCHOLARS PROGRAM:
CENTIENTS looks forward to welcoming visiting scholars from participating affiliates. The visiting scholars program allows affiliates to send researchers to help direct and conduct collaborative research, and if qualified, participate directly in educational efforts.
EVENTS:
CENTIENTS hosts topical conferences, seminars, and workshops. Speakers from USC and other academic institutions, as well as from industry and government entities, are invited to make presentations on theoretical and practical aspects of CENTIENTS’ research and educational trajectories. These conferences, seminars, and workshops are open to all. CENTIENTS affiliates are offered special rates posted in the registration information for CENTIENTS certain events.
STUDENT ENGAGEMENT/SUPPORT:
Affiliate Program provides an opportunity to develop connections between students and companies. CENTIENTS will produce students trained to meet industry needs and looks to our affiliates to provide industry experiences to students through internships, and mentorships.
EXPANDED NETWORK:
CENTIENTS brings credibility and a track record of federally-funded, foundation-funded, and industry-funded research projects and innovations. Affiliates Program enables an expanded network of built-environment-focused organizations for collaboration and dissemination of findings.
OTHER BENEFITS:
Affiliates will also gain, a cost-effective access to research results, recognition of sponsoring research and educational programs, and opportunities to include staff in training, seminars, and meetings. Facilitated access to other USC labs, centers and institutes.
