People spend 87% of their time in built environments—93% when including cars. However, these very environments are changing as a result of rapid technological advancement. The Center’s mission is ensure that these changes are effective, safe, and beneficial to humans. We do so by bringing together the world’s foremost innovators, scientists, and thought leaders to engage in deliberative discussions, conduct cutting-edge research, and form new partnerships to support the human-centered design and integration of smart technologies into buildings, environments, and society.
